My Story
Charmaine Mujeri is Charmaine, Anesu’s best friend and self-appointed adviser. Charmaine is a bubbly bundle of energy who prides herself on being there to champion Anesu in her successes: and support her in her struggles.
An acclaimed Zimbabwean theatre and film actress, poet and writer, Charmaine Mujeri is known for bringing her unique blend of power, energy and emotion to roles on stage and screen. Based in Harare, Charmaine’s artistic work has been lauded by critics and audiences alike.
“I’m all about passion and dedication,” she says of her own love of acting.
Some of Charmaine’s previous projects include a daring depiction of MacDuff in the Shakespearean play Macbeth, Danai Gurira’s The Convert, Finding Temeraire, Nyami-Nyami Eggs of Evil, Escape, Ruvajena, Lovers in Time, Soul Sisters Comes to Africa and a memorable performance in Ntozake Shange’s play For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide.
